Heat Treatment is a method of wood preservation where wood is being heated up to the extend where it is durable from being destroyed by insects and fungus. Heat Treatment is one type of treatment required for meeting the International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures, publication number 15 (ISPM 15). By heat treatment of wood to 56 °C for 30 minutes, it will receive a HT stamp, implying that it meets the international standard of pest control and eligible for export.
